Oasis of Hope children Programs Akala Kenya

Organization Description:

The project Oasis of Hope children centre,is reaching out to orphans and vulnerable children and the youths from the local communities, the streets, some from very poor families where there is no one to help. We show them love, their importance in life, the need for them to get school education, help them in fulfilling their dreams in life and give them a new hope and perspective.

After they have join the centre , they are taught the importance of going to schools then we ensure that they join schools according to their grades, buying the uniforms, paying them schools fess, providing healthy food. At the centre, they are engaged in games such as drawings, craft-making, music, football, and rope jumping through our volunteers who have the heart of serving the children. We have also began some farming activities, vegetables farming which will make them not to have time of remembering what had had happen in their lives, Computer classes in the evenings for upper class and secondary children.

The Organization hope to make these children feel the parental love and being home. A group of Christian youths and volunteers did not want to sit back and see many children running to the streets, premature marriages and hard labour because of lack someone who can help them in their lives; they began this project to catalyze this problem that has faced many children in the community due to the high rate of HIV/AIDS deaths.
