Organizational Statement of Faith:

We believe in One God, One Church and One Baptism. The Lord our GOD is ONE.

Section 1 - The Holy Scriptures

We believe that the sixty-six (66) books of the Holy Bible, as originally written, are the verbal, full, complete, inspired Word of God and the product of Spirit-controlled men.

We believe that the Scriptures are without error.

We believe the Bible is the true center of Christian union and the supreme standard by which all human conduct, creeds and opinions shall be tried (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:19-21; Revelation 22:18-19).

Section 2 - The Godhead

We believe in the one triune God, existing in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, eternal in being, identical in nature, equal in power and glory, having the same attributes and perfection (Deuteronomy 6:14; 2 Corinthians 13:14).

Section 3 - The Person and Work of Jesus Christ

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, became man without ceasing to be God.

We believe that He was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary in order that He might reveal God and redeem sinful man.

We believe that He accomplished redemption not only for us, but for the entire human race.

We believe that He is the propitiation for the sins of the whole world through His death on the cross as the perfect sacrifice; that this salvation is conditioned upon personal acceptance of Jesus Christ as Savior. This redemption is made sure to us by His literal physical resurrection from the dead (John 1:1-2, 12, 14; Luke 1:35; Romans 3:24-25, 4:25; 1 John 2:2; Hebrews 2:9; 1 Peter 1:3-5).

We believe the Lord Jesus Christ is now in heaven, exalted at the right hand of God where as the High Priest for His people, He fulfills the ministry of representative, intercessor, and advocate (Hebrews 9:24, 7;25; Romans 8:34; 1 John 2:12).

Section 4 - The Personality and Work of the Holy Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin, indwells all believers in the present age, baptizes them into the body of Christ, seals them unto the day of redemption and that it is the duty of every believer to be filled with the Holy Spirit (Romans 8:9; 1 Corinthians 12:12-14; Ephesians 1:13-18; John 16:8-11; 2 Corinthians 3:6).

We believe that the Holy Spirit bestows spiritual gifts on believers (Hebrews 2:4; 1 Corinthians 12:7-11).

We believe that according to the New Testament Scriptures that the spiritual gifts of speaking in tongues, apostleship, healing, prophecy, knowledge and the working of sign miracles gradually ceased as the New Testament Scriptures were completed and the Canon was closed (1 Corinthians 13:8-11; Ephesians 4:3-16).

We believe that God does hear and answer the prayers of faith, in accordance with His own will, for the sick and afflicted (John 15:7; 1 John 5:14-15; James 5:15).

Section 5 - The Personality of Satan

We believe in the personality of Satan, who is the open and declared enemy of God and man (Ezekiel 28:12-17; Isaiah 14:12-17; Job 1:7; Matthew 4:2-11).

Section 6 - The Total Depravity of Man

We believe that man was created in the image and likeness of God, but with Adam’s sin the race fell man inherited a sinful nature, became alienated from God, and is totally unable to retrieve its lost state.

Section 7 - Grace in the New Creation

We believe that in order to be saved, sinners must be born again; that the new birth is a new creation in Christ Jesus, and it is instantaneous and not a process that in the new birth the one dead in trespasses and sins is made a partaker of the divine nature and receives eternal life, the free gift of God.

We believe the new creation is brought about in a manner above our comprehension, solely by the power of the Holy Spirit in connection with divine truth, so as to secure our voluntary obedience to the gospel. The proper evidence of the new creation appears in the holy fruits of repentance and faith and newness of life (John 3:3; 2 Corinthians 5:17; 1 John 5:1; John 3:6-7; Acts 16: 30-33; Colossians 2:13; John 3:8).

Section 8 - Salvation

We believe that salvation is the gift of God brought to man by grace and received by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ whose precious blood was for the forgiveness of sins (Ephesians 2:8-10; John 1:12; Ephesians 1:7; 1 Peter 1:18-19).

Section 9 - Justification

We believe that the great gospel blessing which Christ secures to those who believe in Him is justification.

We believe that justification includes the pardon of sin and the gift of eternal life on principles of righteousness.

We believe that justification is bestowed not in consideration of any works of righteousness which we have done, but solely through faith in the Redeemer’s blood, His righteousness that is imputed to us (Isaiah 53:11; Zechariah 13:1; Romans 8:11, 5:1, 9).

Section 10 - Faith and Salvation

We believe that faith in the finished work of the Lord Jesus Christ is the only condition of salvation from condemnation of sin.

We believe that this faith is not worked for or obtained by human effort, but by the inner working of the Holy Spirit, revealing to man his lost condition and inability to save himself apart from God’s free grace (Acts 16:31; Ephesians 2:8-9, 39; Philippians 2:13; Romans 11:6).

Section 11 - The Eternal Security of Believers

We believe that all believers are kept secure forever (John 3:3-7, 10:27-30; 1 Corinthians 12:12; Romans 8:38-39; 1 John 5:13; Ephesians 4:30).

Section 12 - The Blessed Hope

We believe in the blessed hope of the Lord Jesus in the air, is to receive to Himself the dead in Christ and believers who are alive at His coming, otherwise known as the Rapture or Translation of the Church (Titus 2:11-14; Luke 24:36-43; 1 Corinthians 15:51-57).

Section 13 - The Tribulation

We believe that the Rapture of the Church will be followed by the fulfillment of Israel’s seventieth week. The latter half of which is the time of Jacob’s trouble, the tribulation (Daniel 9:27; Jeremiah 30:7; Matthew 24:15-21; Revelation 6:1-9, 21).

Section 14 - The Second Coming of Christ

We believe that the Great tribulation will be climaxed by the pre-millennial return of the Lord Jesus Christ to earth to set up His kingdom for a thousand years (Acts 1:11; 2 Thessalonians 1:7-10; Zechariah 14:4-11; Revelation 19:11-20; 10).

Section 15 - The Eternal State

We believe that the souls of those who have trusted in the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation do at death immediately pass into His presence, and there remain in conscious bliss until the resurrection of the body at His coming, when soul and body reunited shall be associated with Him forever in glory.

We believe that the souls of unbelievers after death, remain in conscious misery until the final judgment of the Great White Throne at the close of the Millennium, when soul and body reunited shall be cast into the Lake of Fire, not to be annihilated but to be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power (Luke 16:19-25; 23:43; 2 Corinthians 5:8; Philippians 1:23; 2 Thessalonians 1:7-9; Jude 5-7; Revelation 20:11-15).

Section 16 - The Responsibility of Believers

We believe that all believers should seek to walk in such a manner as not to bring reproach upon their Lord and Savior and that separation from worldly pleasures and practices is commended by God (Romans 12:1-2; 14:13; 2 Corinthians 6:14; 7:1).

It is the obligation of every believer to witness by life and by work to the truths of the Holy Scriptures and to seek to proclaim the Gospel to all the world (Acts 1:8); to also support it with their means as the Lord has prospered them (1 Corinthians 16:2).

The believers should distinguish themselves by the love they show one to another (1 Corinthians 13:1-13; John 13:34-35).

Section 17 - The Church

We believe that the Church, which is the body and bride of Christ, is a spiritual organism made up of all born-again persons of this age irrespective of their affiliation with Christian organizations (Ephesians 4:3-16; 1:22-23; 5:25-27; 1 Corinthians 12:12-14).

Section 18 - Church Ordinances

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ instituted the Ordinances of Baptism by immersion and Lord’s Supper to be observed by believers until His return, that these in no way aid the salvation of man (Matthew 28:19-20; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26).

Section 19 - The Local Church

We believe that a local church is a congregation of born again, immersed believers, associated by the covenant of faith and fellowship of the Gospel, observing the ordinances of Christ, governed by His laws, and exercising the gifts, rights, and privileges invested in them by His Word.

Its scriptural officers are Pastors/Elders and Deacons, whose qualifications, claims and duties are clearly defined in the Scriptures.

The true mission of the Church is the faithful witnessing of Christ to all men as we have opportunity; that it is scriptural for true Churches to have opportunity; that it is for true Churches to cooperate with each other in contending for the faith and for the furtherance of the Gospel, and that each local Church is the sole judge of the measure and method of its cooperation.

We believe that the one and only Head is Christ through the Holy Spirit, and that on all matters of membership, of policy, of government, of discipline, of benevolence, the will of the local Church is final and shall be free from the interference of any hierarchy of individuals organizations (Acts 2:41; 42: 2 Corinthians 11:2; Ephesians 1:22-23; 4:11; Acts 20:17-28; 1 Timothy 3:1-7; Colossians 1:18; Ephesians 5:23-24; Acts 15:13-18).

Section 20 - Baptism and the Lord’s Supper

We believe that Christian baptism is the immersion of a born again believer in water to show forth in a solemn and beautiful emblem of our faith in the crucified, buried and risen Savior, with its effect in our death to sin and resurrection to a new life.

We believe that baptism is prerequisite to the privileges of a church relationship.

We believe that the Lord’s Supper is the commemorations of His death until He comes, and should be preceded always by solemn self-examination.
