The majority of people in Christian churches know the good news but are not active in sharing their faith with others. Open Arms International Ministries (OAIM) believes that the time has come for all Christians to be involved in the Great Commission.
Open Arms International Ministries is here to help you, your family, and/or your church get involved in short-term missions. We offer trips to the Philippines and Nigeria from May to September. These trips are no vacation. You will find yourself in a foreign country with different food, different customs, and various views of life. You will see and experience things you never would have believed. You come home changed forever...your faith strengthened...ready to fulfill God's call on your life.
The mission of Open Arms is:
To train and equip leaders for the work of the ministry through Bible schools, conferences, retreats and all other methods. To raise up indigenous leaders and aid them in reaching their country with the gospel of Christ by starting new churches, missions, and all other gospel works.
To establish a continuing ministry comprised of indigenous leaders, to encourage relationships between churches for the purpose of support, training, fellowship, and growth of the body of Christ, and to disciple believers into churches and equip them to fulfill Christ's commission.
To cooperate with churches and individuals in the United States and provide opportunities to work and minister on the mission field, to aid individuals in finding their full potential in Christ Jesus, and to provide training and opportunity to future missionaries and leaders
