Philadelphia Senior Center

Organization Description:

Founded in 1949, Philadelphia Senior Center has been serving the region's older adults for over half a century. The Center is the largest in Pennsylvania and the third oldest in the country. Over 8,000 senior citizens are served annually: those who come into the Center and those who are homebound. PSC is accredited by the National Institute of Senior Centers.

For over 50 years, Philadelphia Senior Center (PSC) has created opportunities for mature adults to live healthy, active lives. Our experience enables us to enrich and support the lives of thousands older people each year. PSC offers over 50 different classes and programs weekly; a nutritious lunch; and counseling services ranging from healthcare to housing.

Philadelphia Senior Center and its branches provide a place for people age 55 and older to come and enjoy life-long learning with their peers or learn about assistance and entitlements for older adults. We are also a resource for those seeking support for older relatives, friends and neighbors.
