Poder Learning Center

Organization Description:

Since 1997, Poder has empowered more than four thousand five hundred young adult immigrants and their families through tuition-free educational programs in the predominately Latino immigrant community of Pilsen on Chicago's southwest side.
Si, se puede! (Yes, you can!) This is not only Poder's motto, but also the motivational maxim of all immigrants who have benefited from our programs. Our highly structured, five level ESL (English as a Second Language) program and computer classes has constantly provided immigrants with the tools necessary to thrive in this country as they pursue the American dream and citizenship.
