Rehoboth Community Development Corporation
As a faith-based community development corporation, Rehoboth CDC has 3 areas of ministry:
1) Youth Development and Enrichment providing training for at-risk youth with promise and young people emancipating out of foster care;
2) Community Outreach providing services that facilitate a hand-up through financial education, homeownership, debt management, predatory lending,
and micro-small enterprise start-up workshops; and,
3) Community Economic Development including:
Acquiring property for affordable housing, neighborhood, and commercial corridor district improvements;
Launching a Neighborhood Alliance whose focus is on strategies to revitalize the Canyon Corridor Community;
Facilitating the acquisition of funds for asset formation through Individual Development Accounts (IDA’s) in order to create opportunities for our community to "build wealth, and not debt"; and,
Being a national model Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) preparation site in partnership with the City of Phoenix and Internal Revenue Service Earned Income Tax Credit Campaign.
Our mission is to increase social and economic justice; demonstrate compassion; and combat poverty in partnership with low and moderate income people, community partners, and stakeholders in Central-West Phoenix and Maricopa County.
At Rehoboth Saints Center, our doors are wide open to people from all back-grounds, regardless of where they are on their spiritual journey. What people usually notice first about us is the life-giving nature of our ministry. Our mission is to "meet the needs of the whole man, both naturally and spiritually. Our goal is to infuse life and God’s love into people and families through engaging, powerful worship services that offer biblical truth in relevant and practical ways. But it won’t take you long to discover that we’re more than just a Sunday morning church. In fact, we’re actually a body of believers who will make you feel like family. There are also various opportunities to participate in small groups during weekly bible studies, as well as women, men, and youth ministries.
