Sacramento Valley Teen Challenge
SVTC is committed to the transformation of those who have life-controlling problems; training leaders for ministry; and joining with the church in revival prayer, so that even the need for Teen Challenge is diminished.
To facilitate the transformation of people with life-controlling problems; impacting families and communities through the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Teen Challenge has been called to serve the body of Christ, regardless of denominational affiliation, to help men and women with life-controlling problems come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and to learn how to walk in the freedom they have in Christ. While we are interdenominational in our ministry, Teen Challenge is a part of the U.S. Missions Department of the Assemblies of God. As such, we are accountable to them for every aspect of the ministry and our Bible teaching is consistent with their tenets of faith. These tenets are listed below.
However, be assured that our purpose is to see those with life-controlling problems set-free and planted back into a local congregation of their choosing. Our emphasis is to see their lives changed, not their church affiliation if they had one prior to coming to us. We teach our beliefs and Biblical convictions, but we do not make an issue of any doctrine that is not essential for their salvation and victorious walk in Christ Jesus.
