Safe Families for Children
Safe Families for Children is a national movement of compassion that gives hope to families in crisis. Volunteer host families provide safe, loving homes where parents may voluntarily have their children cared for while they seek to restore stability to their lives. Founded in Chicago in 2002 and active in the metro St. Louis area since 2010, Safe Families for Children is dedicated to child welfare deflection, child abuse prevention and family support and stabilization. Safe Families strives to bring the church back to the forefront of caring for the lost, broken and vulnerable children and families of the community and provide the real and lasting solution of Christ to these families through healing relationships. Safe Families is a ministry driven by volunteers who host children, provide respite for families, are friends to parents in need, and help support the ministry in countless ways.
Safe Families for Children (SFFC) extends community support by hosting vulnerable children and strengthening their families in crisis through a network of volunteers motivated by compassion. The SFFC movement is based on the perspective that the safety and health of the children of our communities are the responsibility of each one of us and that parents are the key to providing long term safe environments for their children.
Safe Families for Children is a network of believers in Jesus Christ who worship and proclaim God and are built up to serve one another and the world.
