The Salvation Army Evanston Corps
The Salvation Army offers social services and recreational programs with the goal of addressing specific physical, emotional, spiritual, and social needs of each family, individual, child/youth, or elderly person.
Services provided include, but is not limited to: emergency food shelves, rental/utility assistance, educational programs, outreach to the homeless, family and youth camping, community center programs, Christmas assistance programs, nursing home visitations, corrections programs and disaster services.
The Salvation Army, an International movement, Is an Evangelical part of the universal Christian church.
Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.
The Evanston Corps Vision and Mission:
A place of service, prayer and worship; where needs are met, people are let to the One who is able to answer prayer, and we celebrate in worship and fellowship His goodness in our lives.
Our mission is to continue to place Christ at the center of every Program and use every avenue of outreach available to us, in order to lead others to Christ, and become part of our fellowship.
