Senior Services Transportation Program
Senior Services was established in 1967, and is the largest non-profit agency serving seniors in Washington.
Formed in 1975 to help meet the transportation needs of King County seniors and their families, our Transportation program provides personalized, escorted, free transportation throughout the county. We offer a number of services to meet diverse needs. Seniors must have access to transportation that allows them to move freely around their communities. They need and deserve transportation options that preserve dignity, maximize independence, and provide access to the full range of activities that contribute to quality of life.
However, accessible transportation is one of the top problems facing King County seniors. Many seniors have found a wonderful solution in Senior Services™ Transportation program.
Over 350 volunteer drivers use their own vehicles to transport seniors to medical and other essential appointments, offering not only a ride, but a helping hand and moral support.
Senior Services promotes the emotional, social, and physical well being of older adults. We envision a community where older adults and those who love them are empowered to choose and develop ever more joyful, healthful and meaningful lives.
