Servants, Inc.

Organization Description:

Servants, Inc. is an organization that connects people in need with people who want to serve. Our 570 active volunteers serve by using their skills, gifts and experiences in providing home repairs and maintenance for those in need in York and Lancaster Counties in Pennsylvania; delivering repairs, clean up and counseling for US disaster recovery victims; and by teaching poverty-ridden families and communities in Guatemala to achieve a sustainable lifestyle. People are called by God to serve in different locations around the world. In Acts 1:8, But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. Whether one is called to help in their neighborhood, their country or in a third world country, we are servants who help individuals serve where God has called them.

Mission Statement:

It is the mission of Servants to connect people in need with people who want to serve, build relationships, transform lives, and provide hope.

Organizational Statement of Faith:

We are common people called to extraordinary work for the kingdom of God. As Servants of Jesus Christ, we embrace His purpose and desire to serve together, to live in community with other co-laborers in the faith, and to have fun in our efforts. Together, we long to work in an inspired environment where our efforts are bound together for the sake of His
Kingdom.
The Holy Bible is our foundation. We believe it is the written word of God, without error in all that it affirms, and is the only infallible rule of faith and practice. We believe in one eternal God, Creator, and Lord of the world--Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe Jesus Christ to be the one and only Savior, who died on the cross to pay for our sins and was resurrected
on the third day as proof of Gods triumph over sin and death. We believe in the power of the Holy Spirit, sent by the Father to bear witness to Jesus Christ and to help Christians in their spiritual growth.
