Serve New England
Serve New England is a program designed to promote volunteer service by offering deep discounts on the highest quality grocery, meat, and vegetable items to community-minded individuals willing to volunteer 2 hours of their time each month to a worthy cause. We have over 350 chapter sites located throughout the six New England states.
Serve has no eligibility requirements other than the 2 hours of volunteer service. Our program is open to people of all ages, races, and income levels.
If you already help at your church, school, youth sports, senior center, etc. then you already qualify. If you are helping someone other than a family member with yard work, meals, babysitting, or transportation, etc., then you already qualify. Serve will also be happy to assist you in finding a volunteer project that interests you as well as training if necessary.
Serve New England promotes a healthy and fulfilling life by supporting the efforts of people to strengthen themselves and their communities.
Our Approach
We are a network of community- based programs organized to meet local needs; we operate through a multi-state food cooperative; and we encourage volunteer service to bring people together.
Our Goals
To have representation in communities throughout New England and to continue to provide services that promote volunteerism and help people help themselves.
To develop an excellent network of vendors, transportation and warehousing insuring delivery of high quality food.
To provide a stable organization with sufficient resources to support our mission.
