Organization Description: 

Services for the UnderServed, founded in 1978, is a multi-service agency which provides programs and services at more than 50 sites throughout New York City. We provide housing and support services to over 4,000 individuals with diverse special needs and multiple challenges, including individuals in recovery from mental illness, children and adults with developmental disabilities, persons living with HIV/AIDS, senior citizens with physical disabilities, homeless and other marginalized individuals. SUS provides the supports necessary for these individuals to live with dignity in the community, direct their own lives and attain personal fulfillment.
