Organization Description: 

Active in the Northern Areas since 2003, the Shining Light Community Development Organization (SLCDO) is a registered, social welfare organization that works to address the most pressing needs of families and communities in the Northern Areas of Pakistan through innovative education, training and development programs.

SLCDO aims to holistically equip and empower communities towards a long-term movement from poverty to prosperity; socially, economically and spiritually.

SCLDO provides Education through an English Primary School and Children's Coaching Center (after school academic coaching) and the Remote School Development Program.

SLCDO provide professional training through the Women's Vocational Training Center (WVTC) where women are trained in the arts of sewing, knitting, embroidery, beautician skills, health and Urdu literarcy.

SLCDO also recruits and deploys international English Language teachers into village schools throughout the Northern Areas.
