Southern Maryland Rescue Ministries, Inc. ( SMRM ) is a faith based 501(c)(3) Tax Exempt nonprofit organization involved in providing Rescue Mission Ministry to the Least, the Last and the Lost in our community.
Our programs are Christ Centered and Kingdom Focused serving God and people in need in the Southern Maryland region, especially Calvert, Charles, and Saint Mary's Counties.
Our programs and services are designed to meet the physical, spiritual, mental, educational, and vocational needs of people, especially the homeless, the hungry, the addicted and the disenfranchised, and to transform their lives through faith in Jesus Christ.
The mission of Southern Maryland Rescue Ministries (SMRM ) is to offer programs and services which meet the physical, spiritual, mental, educational, and vocational needs of people , especially the homeless, the hungry, the addicted and the disenfranchised in the Southern Maryland area and to transform their lives through faith in Jesus Christ.
We believe in God, the Father almighty,
creator of heaven and earth.
We believe in Jesus Christ, God's only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried;
he descended to the dead.
On the third day he rose again;
he ascended into heaven,
he is seated at the right hand of the Father,
and he will come again to judge the living and the dead.
We believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting.
