SOS Ministries

Organization Description: 

We organize three "Church on the Street" outreaches each month. Local churches bring their worship group and conduct a church service in a downtown park. We have found this very effective in spreading the gospel. SOS operates a ministry house in Oakland, California that offers a year-long, evangelism training program for those who want practical experience in evangelism. Weekly, our SOS evangelism team witnesses on the streets of San Francisco and Berkeley.

SOS Ministries is an inter-denominational, evangelical, street ministry in San Francisco. Our special mission is to reach the people of the San Francisco Bay Area. We have sent missionaries around the world but have neglected our own backyard. Come help us share the love of Jesus Christ with the people of San Francisco.

Organizational Statement of Faith:

ƒ‚ ‚• We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful people, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential.

ƒ‚ ‚• We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.

ƒ‚ ‚• We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.
