Southeast Texas Interfaith Organization

Organization Description:

Southeast Texas Interfaith Organization (SETIO) was formed to operate exclusively for charitable purposes and for the improvement of the living conditions for all victims of Hurricane Rita. SETIO operates to assist community residents with their unmet needs, particularly those who fall under our high-risk categories: elderly, disabled and single-parent households with vulnerable children. In the wake of Hurricane Rita, those who were insured experienced relatively swift recoveries, while the tens of thousands who were either uninsured or underinsured were left with inadequate assistance-public or private-and deplorable living conditions from which to manage their recoveries.
