Spark and Echo Arts
Spark and Echo (formerly Bible Confrontatie) is an interactive multi-disciplinary "illumination" of the Bible for a new generation. Collaborating with visual and performing artists from New York City and beyond, we are illuminating every passage of the Bible with visual art, music, theater, poetry, and mixed media. The works are available online and at live events.
Your work could be a part of this project. If you find a passage or a piece of art on the site that sparks a strong emotional response, use your creative talents and Submit an Artistic Reaction. Rather than focusing on verbal discussion, we are fostering a new culture of artistic dialogue that generates fascinating works of art while exploring the Bible.
This website is only part of the project. We also host live events, concerts and workshops featuring talented artists and focusing on a refreshing exploration of the intersection between faith, art and culture.
If you are an emerging artist, we not only challenge you to incorporate the Bible into your work, we also offer you resources to better express yourself and a community to showcase your work. Get involved by exploring the site, attending an Event, or submitting a work in response to a Bible passage or artwork featured on the site. Individual artists and creators of the work on this site hold the copyrights for their own work. If you are interested in using their work you should seek permission from the artist. We develop, inspire and commission original art for practical use and public enjoyment, offering an expansive online collection, exciting live performances, and interactive workshops.
