Spring Forth Ministries, Inc/ Spring Forth Network International

Organization Description:

Half of the African population is comprised of youth under the age of twenty years old. Many face a future without hope. The funds that should be used for public education and health care is instead used to pay off debt owed to already prosperous countries. The HIV/AIDS epidemic has become a national disaster and the inequitable buy and sell policies are keeping the nations of Africa in poverty. About 70% of sub-Saharan Africa has been recognized as the poorest place on earth despite it being a beautiful and rich continent. It is a global source of minerals to the world including gold, diamonds, oil and more.

African Americans represent the Biblical Joseph to Africa. Although they were sold into slavery with the participation of their African brothers, the Lord has used their painful experiences and hardships to raise up a great and resilient people. While many African Americans also struggle with similar dilemmas as poverty, the AUDS epidemic and injustice, God has used them in many ways. African Americans represent 13% of the US Population, and have influenced every aspect of the culture – politics, religion, education, sports and entertainment. They are now in a position to empower their African brothers toward sustainable development.

Spring Forth Ministries, Inc / Spring Forth Network International is to serve as a platform of mission mobilization and of reconciliation between African Americans and Africans as well as with other people groups in order to bring God’s healing and restoration in the lives and communities. Spring Forth strives to specially affirm African Americans in their distinctiveness and dignity, as well as create short-term mission opportunities for them to reach out to motherland Africa.

Mission Statement:

Motivating and Mobilizing for Global Missions to touch lives and Impact Nations.

Organizational Statement of Faith:

We believe there is one God eternally existing in three persons; the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. God as Father is Author, Creator, and Sustainer of all creation. According to His good pleasure and will, He created all that is, including animals, plants, earth, skies, waters, and First man and woman.

We believe the Bible is God's recorded revelation to humankind, and that it is divinely inspired, authoritative, and written for all peoples and all languages everywhere. These are the sacred writings of God.

We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, sinless life, physical death, bodily resurrection, ascension into heaven, and His return to earth in power and glory. He is the Bright and Morning Star, Ancient of Days, and Chief Shepherd for the peoples of the earth. We believe that He alone is the sent one, the only mediator between God and man.

We believe in the personality and deity of the Holy Spirit, that he empowers and indwells believers to live godly, mature, and fruitful lives.

We believe that humankind was created in the image of God, but because of rebellion, rejected the path of beauty, wandering in darkness and alienation from God. Only through faith, trusting in Christ alone for salvation, can that alienation be removed and the peoples of the earth be restored to the path of beauty once again. Jesus performed the "once and for all ceremony" through His death on a cross, and resurrection from the dead. By this He broke the power of death and made a way for all tribes and nations to return to a loving relationship with Father/Creator
