St. Francis School in Lumberton, NM is a small mission School in the mountains of Northern New Mexico. The school is just 3 miles off the Jicarilla Apache Reservation. The enrollment hovers between 75-100 students in grades K-8. 90% of the student body are of the Jicarilla Apache Nation, the remaining 10% are of Spanish Ancestry. St. Francis School has been in existence for almost 100 years and it is a part the the rich culture and history of the area.
