StreetSchool Network
The StreetSchool Network has had a dramatic impact in the lives of those in the at-risk population. Member schools have achieved impressive benchmarks including boosting GPAs and college enrollment rates and providing students with literacy interventions to improve reading and writing skills.
StreetSchool Network is working nationwide to meet the challenge of youth at-risk by developing a network of schools that provide personalized education, a moral code and tools for self-sufficiency.
1. We believe in the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments as being verbally inspired and completely inerrant in the original manuscripts and of supreme and final authority in all subjects on which they speak. (Mt. 5:17,18; Lk. 24:27,44; Jn. 10:35; II Tim. 3:16; II Pet. 1:21)
2. We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (Mt. 28:17-19; Mk. 12:29; Jn. 6:27; Acts 5:3,4; Heb. 1:8; II Cor. 13:14)
3. We believe that Jesus was begotten of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary and is true God and true man. (Mt. 1:16, 20-25; Lk. 2:40, 52, 7:48; Jn. 11:35; Phil. 2:5-8)
4. We believe that the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to witness to and glorify the Lord Jesus Christ (Jn. 15:26, 16:13,14), and during this age to convict men, regenerate the sinner, indwell, guide, instruct, gift, and empower the believer for godly living and effective service.
5. We believe that man was created in the image of God; that he sinned and thereby incurred not only physical death but also that spiritual death which is separation from God; and that all human beings are born with a sinful nature and in the case of those who reach moral responsibility, become sinners in thought, word and deed. (Gen. 1:26, 2:17, 6:5; Ps. 14:1-3, 51:5; Ro. 3:10-19, 8:6-7; Eph. 2:1-3)
6. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins and for the sins of the whole world. We believe that He was buried and bodily rose from the dead according to the Scriptures as a representative and substitutionary sacrifice, and that all who believe in Him are justified on the grounds of His shed blood. (I Jn. 2:2; I Cor. 15:4; Jn. 1:29, 3:16; Ro. 3:25,26; II Cor. 5:21 )
7. We believe that all who repent and receive by faith the Lord Jesus Christ are born of the Holy Spirit and thereby become children of God and have eternal life. (Jn. 1;12, 3:12, 5:24, 10:27-29; Acts 16:31; Ro. 8:28-39; Titus 3:5; Jude 24)
8. We believe in "that blessed hope," the personal and visible return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. (Jn. 14:1-3; I Thes. 4:13-18)
9. We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and of the unjust; the everlasting blessedness of the saved and the everlasting separation from God of the lost. (Rev. 20:11-15; Jn. 14:3)
10. We believe that the Church, composed of all those who truly believe on the Lord Jesus Christ as their Savior, is the Body and Bride of Christ. We believe that Christ is the Head of the Body, the Church; that all believers are baptized into the Body of Christ by the Holy Spirit, and thus having become members of one another, we are responsible to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. (Eph. 1:22,23; I Cor. 12:13; Eph. 4:3)
