Su Casa Catholic Worker
Though Su Casa?s mission began as a shelter for refugees of Central-American civil war, we now primarily serve Spanish-speaking homeless families of Chicago, many of whom are women and children escaping domestic violence. We accommodate an average of five families at a time, offering a maximum one year stay for each. The live-in Su Casa workers bring new energy and cheerful volunteerism to the house, ultimately working towards fostering a safe, clean environment full of warmth and hospitality for our guests and neighbors.
