Ten Thousand Villages markets products through multiple sales channels, from our nationwide retail network of 75 stores to a comprehensive e-commerce website. We also work as a wholesaler to supply several hundred retailers nationwide. Additionally, local groups at churches, colleges and community centers around the country host Festival Sales, our company's oldest distribution channel.
Ten Thousand Villages provides vital, fair income to people of developing countries by marketing their handicrafts and telling their stories in North America. Ten Thousand Villages works with artisans who would otherwise be unemployed or underemployed. This income helps pay for food, education, health care and housing. Ten Thousand Villages is a nonprofit program of Mennonite Central Committee.
