Organization Description:

TESDEF UGANDA is a child and Youth focused initiative that was founded by Jefferson Kandi as a response to the increasing number of OVC's and Jobless Youth in rural areas of Eastern and North Eastern Uganda. The founder grew up as an orphan and was fortunate enough to be educated at the university level through the support of his relative. After his studies he decided to establish this organization having experienced the same suffering the orphans and vulnerable children were still going through up to date. This has been his dream to drive change to the life of OVC's in rural areas of these regions. TESDEF UGANDA wants to give a meaningful life to the OVC's and Youth in rural areas of Eastern and North Eastern Uganda. TESDEF UGANDA helps OVCs and Youth attain self-esteem and self-reliance through Education, Vocational skills training and health care support. It also economically empowers OVC caretakers/guardians (especially the widows, single parents, and grandmothers) through income-generating activities to increase their household incomes.

Then He said to His disciples, "The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. "Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest."
(Matthew 9:37-38)
In this life we cannot do great things. We can only do small things with great love. and what you do is not important but the LOVE with which you do it.

He who has a bountiful eye shall be blessed, for he gives of his bread to the poor.
