TreeHouse Youth Outreach

Organization Description:

TreeHouse has been serving at-risk youth and families throughout the western suburban metro of Minneapolis for 25 years! With seven active locations, TreeHouse serves over 1300 youth on an annual basis. TreeHouse programs include Tuesday night Support Group for teens and Thursday night Going Deeper (similar to a youth group type program). These programs are built on a foundation of relational ministry. Staff and volunteers provide ongoing mentoring to teens involved at TreeHouse. In addition, several areas provide Parent Programs including support groups and education.

TreeHouse also serves teens by way of small group Bible Studies, connecting with local schools and organizations and through year-round activities, retreats and trips.

Organizational Statement of Faith:

Statement of Faith

1. We believe that God created the universe and all it contains and that He sustains it by His power.

2. We believe that Jesus Christ is God ƒÆ’ ‚Æ’ ƒâ€š ‚‚ ƒÆ’ ‚‚ ƒâ€š ‚’s Son by whose life, death and resurrection all may find forgiveness, eternal life, true identity and peace with God through faith.

3. We believe that every person is created in the image of God; that in Christ all are one regardless of color, wealth, age or background.

4. We believe that it is God ƒÆ’ ‚Æ’ ƒâ€š ‚‚ ƒÆ’ ‚‚ ƒâ€š ‚’s desire that we live balanced lives growing to Christian maturity in body, mind and spirit.

5. We believe the Bible to be inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God.

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In His great mercy He has given us NEW birth into a living HOPE through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. I Peter 1:3 NIV

The Christian Focus of TreeHouse

Though we deal with our clients holistically, as a Christian organization we seek to help the youth and families we serve come to a living faith in Jesus Christ, to recognize the authority of the Word of God, and to apply Biblical Principles to all matters of faith and practice in their lives. We believe that this is central to life transformation.

Our expectations of all staff are that they live out their Christian faith and values in ways which are consistent with the teachings of Scripture. We expect staff to love God fully and others deeply. We also expect that staff be involved in a fellowship of believers for teaching, encouragement, support and accountability.
