Outreach programmes that include visiting communities in Bungoma and Mumias District to give educational presentations using video and drama to students, faith groups, and community based organizations. This programme is done on a full time basis and forms the core of our volunteer programmes.

Other Programme Information

Accommodation and Meals: Overseas volunteers and interns will stay with carefully selected host families and occasionally in local hostels, and will be provided with two meals per day while you are away from home for project work (breakfast and dinner) and three meals while you are at home.

Transportation: International volunteer and overseas internship placements are within walking distance of the host home. If you prefer you can take local public transport to and from your volunteer project work. The cost will normally not exceed USD 1.5 per day.

Schedule of work: Normally Mondays to Saturdays; 3 ? 4 hours a day. Sunday is a free day to explore East Africa.

Age Limit: The volunteer programmes are open to all persons aged 18 and above, from all countries of origin and residence. We also accept teenagers younger than 18 years of age provided they are accompanied by and under the supervision of legally recognized guardians such as parents, teachers or religious group leaders.

Length of Programme: You can volunteer or intern for a minimum of one (1) week to a maximum of one year.

Our mission is to work in partnership with local communities to foster education in HIV/AIDS & community development, with a vision of becoming the leading youth volunteer organization in the addressing of HIV/AIDS related issues.

In pursuit of this mission we provide opportunities for people to participate in international volunteer and internship work.


We provide for long term, short term and group placements suitable for anyone interested in international volunteer work and overseas internships within many areas, including teaching, counselling, care?giving, and medical work. Our programmes are available in the Western and Nairobi Provinces of Kenya.
