Organization Description: 

Trusted Partners is a non-profit program that trains and provides ongoing support to volunteer mentors. It is a self-sufficient urban ministry of Immanuel United Church of Christ. Trusted Partners has a staff of two persons and is overseen by an advisory board. Its' roots are in the Indianapolis "Blueprint to End Homelessness". The mentoring program is run in close collarboration with other local homeless prevention programs.

Trusted Partners prevents homelessness by providing trained volunteer mentors to individuals that have been recently housed and referred by a homeless prevention pagency. These person-to-person mentoring relationships empower, educate, and provide life skills, hope, and on-going support in order to help people remain housed and imporve the quality of their lives.
