Tulare-Kings Counties Youth For Christ
Since 1964, Tulare-Kings Counties Youth For Christ has been communicating the Gospel of Jesus Christ to teenagers in the central valley of California, and has been a chartered chapter of Youth For Christ, U.S.A. since 1968.. We are governed by a local Board of Trustees, with volunteer area ministry support committees helping and overseeing the ministry in the individual communities. Our desire is to see the youth of the entire twin-county area (there are over 66,000 youth in the region) fully engaged in following Jesus! Currently, we are reaching the communities of Visalia, Hanford, Dinuba, Orosi, and Sultana. Porterville, Tulare, and Lemoore are our next target communities of service.
YFC reaches young people everywhere, working together with the local church and other like-minded partners to raise up lifelong followers of Jesus who lead by their godliness in lifestyle, devotion to prayer and the Word of God, passion for sharing the love of Christ and commitment to social involvement.
1. We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the infallible authoritative Word of God.
2. We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son
and Holy Spirit.
3. We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His personal return to power and glory.
4. We believe that the salvation of lost and sinful people is by the grace of God through faith and the shed blood of the Lord Jesus and that regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential.
5. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.
6. We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved
unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.
7. We believe in the spiritual unity of all believers.
