TURN (Today's Urban Renewal Network, Inc.)

Today‚’s Urban Renewal Network (TURN) is a community-based non-profit organization, founded in 2004 and based in the city of Riverside. Our mission is to connect churches in loving our city. We accomplish our mission by connecting, empowering and supporting like-minded ministries, so they may serve the hurting families in our community more efficiently, more collaboratively, and more effectively. Our purpose is to be a ‚"bridge‚" in the community. By bringing local groups together, we have been able to achieve more comprehensive impacts than these groups have been able to accomplish, acting alone.

TURN‚’s local ministry focuses in three areas: facilitating a network of churches for united prayer and a stronger Church of the City in Riverside; helping churches to collaborate together to effectively care for local homeless families; and equipping and empowering churches to engage in serving the needs of local foster children.

TURN‚’s network is made up of over 50 local churches, representing 30,000+ Christians in the city of Riverside. The fruit of TURN‚’s ministry is often seen on other people‚’s trees in the form of: more churches and individuals aware and engaged in compassion ministry, partner church members serving and giving to local homeless shelters and foster families, pastors serving one another ‚– deepening their trust and fellowship, believers from different denominations praying and worshipping together, needs in the community being met by those who seek to share their time and resources, and ministry events in the community where participants feel honored and where volunteers are cheerful givers, and children and adults finding true wholeness in Jesus‚’ love and salvation.
