Tutoring and Mentoring Program - The Salvation Army Santa Rosa
Volunteers needed at The Salvation Army!
We are in need of tutors and mentors who would like to volunteer at Brookhill Elementary from 2:45pm-4:45pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays. This program provides one on one tutoring with a child in 2nd to 6th grade. Each day there will be an hour of tutoring in grade specific subjects and homework assistance and an hour of mentoring (games, activities, crafts, etc).
We also have a tutoring program here at the Santa Rosa corps building with Comstock Middle School boys and students from Double Punches Boxing Club on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3pm-4pm and 4pm-5pm.
We are also looking for volunteers in our Family Services area helping to bag food for our clients Monday-Friday, 10:00 a.m. to noon. We are in need of volunteers to sort fruit in the afternoons; this would be an excellent opportunity for a student in need of filling their required volunteer hour’s necessary for some schools.
