UPAVIM Crafts

Organization Description:

UPAVIM is based in Guatemala as a non profit organization improving the lives of underprivledged women and their community. UPAVIM is a cooperative of about 70 women who have started an alternative school, daycare, medical clinic, well baby program, scholarship and tutoring program and more that they offer to their community and a very small cost. They have several income generating projects that help to fund these programs. One is the craft project. This project offers distribution of their crafts in the USA through our warehouse in Ijamsville, MD. There is one full time and generally 2-3 part time employees. The warehouse is always in need of volunteers. Volunteers are also welcome in Guatemala. See website for more details on that.
