VidaNet, Inc.
PVM is VidaNet‚‚’s flagship program and was developed initially to provide high-impact disciple-making mission trips to church youth groups during the summer months. Over the years PVM has hosted more than 1700 youth and adults in mission trips that have changed lives and furthered the process of discipleship in many lives. Today, PVM still hosts many youth mission trips but has added trips for families, small groups, and businesses throughout the rest of the year.
The model which PVM uses for summer youth group mission trips is one of high-impact and discipleship training for those participating. The summer program includes: 3 days of discipleship and ministry training, 5 days of ministry with a local church or ministry, and one excursion day. This model and program has proved to be very effective in changing the loves of those involved. Throughout the rest of the year PVM can customize a trip for you and your group, but the goal is always to use the short term mission experience to see the participants discipled and in turn make disciples out of those being reached. 1. VidaNet and its programs are committed to fulfilling the Great Commission by discipling the global church through missions, and facilitating missions for the global church to make new disciples.
2. VidaNet is an inter-denominational short and medium term mission sending and receiving organization.
3. VidaNet's primary purpose is to see the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19) carried out by providing places for disciples of Jesus Christ to be challenged to a deeper discipleship and through that process providing a place and an atmosphere for new disciples to be reached.
5. VidaNetÂ’s Slogan: Â…Growing up and Reaching outÂ…
The Vidanet slogan reflects our commitment to focus our time and resources on the primary task of being disciples and discipling the church (global) and providing the church and the world missions opportunities to make new disciples. All of VidaNetÂ’s activities are designed, ideally, to contribute and lead toward this goal. Even humanitarian ministries and ministry to the poor must be done within this larger framework.
VidaNet’s doctrinal position is reflected in the 1974 Lausanne Covenant’s doctrinal statement, and as such reflects a historical evangelical statement of faith.
1. Inspiration of the Scriptures
We believe in the verbal inspiration of the Bible, both the Old and New Testaments.
2. God
We believe in one God revealed in three persons: The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
3. Man
We believe that man in his natural state is a sinner, lost, without hope, and without God.
4. Divinity and Humanity of Christ Jesus
We believe that Jesus is God come in the flesh and that He is both divine and human.
5. Blood Atonement
We believe in the saving power of the Blood of Jesus and His imputed righteousness.
6. Bodily Resurrection
We believe in the bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ.
7. Ascension
We believe that Christ Jesus ascended to the Father and is presently engaged in building Heaven and interceding for the saints.
8. Second Coming
We believe in the visible, bodily return of Christ Jesus to this earth to receive His Church and judge the world.
9. Salvation
We believe that the terms of salvation are repentance toward God for sin and a personal faith in Jesus Christ. This salvation is entirely by grace of our Lord and not of works.
10. The Local Church
We believe the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ is a Body of disciples who have been baptized in the Name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost; who are under recognized, delegated authorities; and who assemble to worship, and carry forth the Great Commission.
11. Ordinances
We believe that the two ordinances of the Church are Water Baptism and the Lord's Supper.
12. The Separated Life
We believe that believers should seek to practice the separated life from the world and unto Christ and to set standards of conduct which shall exalt our Lord and His Church.
13. Heaven and Hell
We believe the Scriptures clearly set forth the doctrines of eternal punishment for the lost and eternal bliss and service for the saved - Hell for the unsaved and Heaven for the saved.
14. Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit to be the Third Person of the Trinity whose purpose in the redemption of man is to convict men of sin, regenerate the repentant believer, guide the believer into truth. We believe that the gifts and empowering presence of the Holy Spirit should be evident in the life of every believer for witness, devotion to Christ and victorious Christian living.
