Village Schools International
Our first school was built in Tanzania in early 2005 in just 70 days, inspiring a movement that today involves people from 193 villages working together to build schools for their children. Twenty-eight schools are already open, five others are under construction, and almost 9000 students are enrolled who otherwise would never have had a chance to go to school. Since 2005 we have sent more than 140 short-term missionary teachers to live in these villages, to teach these students, and to share the Gospel with these communities.
Village Schools International sends missionary teachers to small villages in Africa to get so involved in the lives of their students that sharing the Gospel is the natural result of loving them.
Village Schools International requires that all members of the Board and all full and short-term missionaries serving with the organization be fully in agreement with the doctrinal statement of the mission.
We believe that the Bible is the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative word of God.
We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.
We believe that regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely necessary for the salvation of the lost and sinful man.
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.
We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost: the saved unto the resurrection of life, and the lost unto the resurrection of damnation.
We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.
