Organization Description: 

Vishwa Jyoti Communications is a media center focused on working for societal change through low cost and indigenous media. The centre has a theatre troupe called 'Prerna Kala Manch' (Art Forum for Inspiration) which has performed more than 7300 street play performances and almost 1000 stage plays on social and religious themes. VJC also is involved in preaching the Word of God through satellite channels.

Mission Statement: 

We who are engaged in the Empowerment of the poor and the marginalized, emerge as a collective body to communicate in praxis through peoples own media the human dignity, and journey together towards awareness, animation and collective action.

Organizational Statement of Faith: 

Following the path of love manifested by Lord Jesus Christ, the perfect communicator, we realize our mission on this earth is to communicate love, compassion and joy through media which is accessible to common people. Jesus reached the zenith of his communication on Mount Calvary, making a total sacrifice of himself. We are called to attain redemption for ourselves through this total self giving. For us who follow this path, love is our mission and service is the norm.
