Organization Description: 

Humanitarian activities that the Corporation may be involved with are providing volunteers to teach English and other subjects and provide special education expertise to churches, and educational institutions; providing special education to the blind, hearing impaired and disabled young people; providing environmental, health, nutrition, medical and dental clinics and training at hospitals and clinics; providing agricultural consultation; providing support for rural development projects (ex. electrification, biogas for fuel, water for drinking and irrigation of crops and village fish, shrimp farming); providing for emergency relief projects, such as rebuilding schools and churches; providing assistance to victims of natural occurring (acts of God) events; printing of Bibles and other literature for general distribution; providing educational scholarships for support of seminary students; providing assistance for construction, modernization of church and educational buildings, and educational supplies to local churches.

The Corporation is organized exclusively for charitable, religious, educational, and scientific purposes, including, for such purposes, the making of distributions to organizations that qualify as exempt organizations under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, or the corresponding section of any future tax code.



The Specific purposes of the Corporation are to provide opportunity for individuals and organizations to demonstrate the love of Christ, as described in Matthew 22:37-40 and 25:31-46 and contribute to the support of charitable and humanitarian activities for Chinese people around the world and specifically in the Peoples Republic of China, especially those operated by the Amity Foundation and the China Christian Council; to publicize the activities of the Amity Foundation, the China Christian Council, and other humanitarian organizations working with Chinese people and to solicit contributions; to monitor charitable and humanitarian activities carried out on the behalf of Chinese people around the world and in the People's Republic of China and contribute funds for the support of those activities as determined by the Corporation Board of Directors.
