Wabash Valley Habitat for Humanity

Organization Description:

WVHfH is affiliated with Habitat for Humanity International and was established in Terre Haute in 1988. Since then, the affiliate has built 52 homes in Vigo and Sullivan County, providing homes for 125 children and 74 adults.

Habitat for Humanity is pledged to ridding the world of unsafe, unhealthy, and otherwise inadequate housing. We accomplish this mission by providing simple, decent, and affordable homes for individuals and families living in substandard housing. Once the home is complete Habitat sells the home at a 0% interest no profit loan. The mortgage payments are put into a “Fund for Humanity” account which is used to build more homes in the Wabash Valley. Our homes are made affordable through a no profit, interest free mortgage.
