Organization Description: 

The Weekend to End Womens Cancers is a non-profit organisation directly benefitting Chris O'Brien Lifehouse. The Weekend to End Womens Cancers is a 2 DAY, 60 kilometre, walking event. The event takes place on the 8th and 9th of November, 2014. It begins when the Walkers gather for an inspiring Opening Ceremony, then walk through Sydney where Walkers will camp for the night (venue to be confirmed) and then return the following day.

The Weekend to End Womens Cancers is proud to work with Australias leading medical research centres and hospitals to fund research and treatment into cancer to help fight it at all levels throughout Australia. Our Sydney event benefits Chris OBrien Lifehouse, a world-class cancer treatment and research facility providing care and support to patients. Chris O?Brien Lifehouse aims to transform cancer treatment for Australians in an environment thriving on discovery, research and uncompromising care. The Lifehouse will offer the latest research and technology, advanced medical and complementary therapies, as well as emotional support and sanctuary all in one place with a holistic patient centric model of care providing services for public and private patients.
