The Well Ministries

Organization Description:

The Well Ministries is the main organization that incorporates several other ministries. It is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization officially recognized by the IRS, therefore tax receipts can be given for all donations as allowed by law.

The Well Ministries began in 1999 when Kris Rhoades, who had suffered many years of depression, was miraculously healed at a women??s retreat. Her recovery came mostly from a positive change of attitude and change of perspective. She had a revelation from the Lord about the Samaritan woman and how many women could relate to her. The Lord then gave Kris a vision of printing a newsletter with inspirational and encouraging stories to help other women suffering from depression.

The individual ministries are:

* The Well Publication (started in April 1999)

A Christian Publication of inspirational and encouraging stories distributing 5000 copies per issue, free of charge.

* Chalice Music Ministry (started in March 2000)

A live Christian Band of instrumentalists and vocalists to present the Gospel of Jesus Christ through Song, Word, and Testimony

* Puppets for the King (started in December 1991)

Teaching the Word of God to adults and children through songs and skits

We are a traveling ministry for the most part. We will go anywhere that God calls us.

Organizational Statement of Faith:

We believe:

1. We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God and the only infallible guide and rule of faith and conduct.

2. We believe there is one God eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

3. We believe that Jesus Christ came into the world to reveal the Father and to take away sin, and destroy the works of the devil, and that He was the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, that Jesus Christ is the creator of all things, for by Him the worlds were made.

4. We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His victorious and atoning sacrifice through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father and in His personal return in power and glory.

5. We believe Jesus Christ will return to earth as Savior and Lord imminently. Mankind will be resurrected bodily, the saved to eternal happiness and security with God, and the unsaved to everlasting punishment in hell.

6. We believe since man is unable to save himself, salvation comes by grace alone received through faith in Christ as Savior on the basis of Godly repentance.

7. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.

8. We believe the Baptism of the Holy Spirit is a definite experience subsequent to conversion provided by the Lord for every believer for purposes of Christian witness, holiness, and edification. An evidence of this experience is the speaking in tongues as empowered by the Holy Spirit.

9. We believe divine healing, provided for in the atonement, is available to mankind in every age and is granted according to God ƒ‚ ‚’s will in answer to believing prayer.

10. We believe the great commission of Christ is literal and imperative today. To carry out a program of world evangelism is both the duty and supreme privilege of the church.

11. We believe in the spiritual unity of believers of all denominations in our Lord Jesus Christ.
