A Woman's Concern

Organization Description:

Intervention

The Intervention side of A Woman's Concern is our Healthy Futures program. This is a classroom based program that is in the Boston Public Schools, as well as the surrounding communities. The program is for 5 days and teaches students about healthy relationships and how the choices they make now will affect their future.

Parenting Preparation Classes

Women and couples that choose to have their child are invited to participate in our "My Baby and Me" classes. These classes are for about 10 weeks and cover a variety of topics that a new parent will face. By attending class, doing homework and bringing their partner, participants earn "Baby Dollars" that can be used to purchase clothing and other baby supplies.

Post- Abortion Healing

We offer a post-abortion Bible Study for woman who have had an abortion. These are confidential groups that meet in our center, usually after office hours. They go through a Bible Study titled "Forgiven and Set Free"
