Word of Faith Church

Word of Faith was started in 2002 in Mwembe area,Kisii,Nyanza province ,Kenya with Pr. Hezekiah Onchoke as the founder.It has a congregation of about 100 saved people.

We are involved in four major ministries that
contribute to our mission of evangelism in Kisii.
1. Evangelism: We engage in small and large-scale evangelistic events.
We seek to unite and train leaders to reach out to their communities.
New converts are then channelled into the churches for follow up and
discipleship.
2. Reconciliation: The ministry is based around the message of
reconciliation with God and his call on our lives to be reconciled to each
other. Forgiveness therefore becomes a key issue for our believers who in
many cases have experienced awful atrocities.
3. Aid and Development: Words alone cannot fully convey God's love and
an empty stomach has no ears. We wholeheartedly believe that the gospel calls us to meet needs in both the spiritual and physical realms. For this reason the church is involved in long-term development initiatives. Each of these has the aim of sharing the love of Christ with its recipients. Among our current projects are AIDS education and home based care, orphan care, primary health care, skills training for prostitutes
and street children and food security projects.
4. Leadership Development: To give new believers the care they need, local churches must first be strong and have faithful, biblical leaders.
Consequently, church nourishes growth in Christian leadership through courses, training seminars and special programs.
There is huge need in Gusii for the resourceful ministry that Word of Faith church offers. We are committed to fulfilling the needs set before us, to growing the church both outward (in number) and upward (into mature Christian
living)
