VISION- As we pursue the vision God has called us to and as we set our hands to work in preparing a conclusive approach in providing services to accommodate those returning from incarceration. We will provide emergency housing, shelter and transitional living to those who are homeless, can't return to high risk areas and in need of sober, sage and adequate housing. Education to those who illiterate and in need of assistance with attaining a GED and other education. Opportunity, to become employable and obtain employment and a place designed to meet every need to assist on in regaining self -worth and reaching their attainable goals in a Christ centered way.
Our mission is to bring hope to men and women affected by substance abuse, destructive life style and Correctional Institutions, by offering ancillary services, life skills, counseling, and discipleship for the young adults, adults and families. These services aim to relieve the burden of societal problems by promoting wellness healthy relationships, productive living, and community involvement in a Christ centered environment.
X-Cons-4-Christ is guided by a belief in Jesus Christ and by the transformative power of God and the Holy Spirit. This Outreach's values included respect, compassion, unconditional love and Godly morals and values for all that will be receiving services; to embrace people in need of a life changing experience from God. In our clients, we see great strengths and possibilities; with X-Cons-4-Christ team support we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us.
Statement of Faith
X-Cons 4 Christ
God -We believe in the Triune God-that one true God has revealed Himself as the eternal, self-existent It, I AM", The Creator of heaven and earth, the Redeemer of mankind manifested in the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. One God exists as three persons ‚– the Father, the Son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. They are co-equal, and each is fully God. (Isaiah 43: 10-13; Isaiah 44: 24; Deut. 6: 4; 1 Corinthians 8: 4-6)
Jesus Christ-We believe Jesus Christ is both God and the Son of God. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, and physically died on the cross to make payment for the sins of mankind. When He took on a human nature He never ceased to be God; He was both fully God and fully man. He rose from the dead and ascended to heaven, where He acts as the Mediator ‚– the High Priest ‚– for believers. (John 1:1-5; John 1:14-18; Isaiah 9: 6-7; John 17:20-23; John 17:5; John 16:27-30; John 14:7-11;)
Holy Spirit-We believe the Holy Spirit is a divine person, equal with God the Father and with the Son we believe in the work of the Holy Spirit through ordinary people, and that the gifts of the Holy Spirit are relevant for today. (1 Corinthians 12, John 1: 33; Acts 1: 5-9, 2: 1-18; 1 Cor. 14: 2-4, 14-19)
Bible-We believe that the scriptures are the ultimate authority of the revelation of God. The Old and New Testaments are the inspired, infallible, and revealed will of God; and that these books constitute the only rule of faith and practice. We believe the bible is inspired by the Holy Spirit. We do not believe or accept any other teachings and beliefs, there is only 'One Truth'.(2 Timothy 3: 16-17; Hebrews 4: 12; 1 Peter 1: 25; Mark 13: 31)
Man-We believe that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. We believe that no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born again. We also believe that our redemption has been accomplished through the shedding of Jesus' blood on the cross-and that by grace we are saved through faith, if we confess with our mouths that Jesus is Lord, and believe in our hearts that God raised Him from the dead.
