YES PLEASE VOLUNTEERING

Organization Description:

Our Vision

Our vision is to connect people with communities in need. We do this by supporting the work of local community organisations in countries through the placement of international volunteers. We encourage the volunteers to teach and equip this communities to be self reliant and wipe off any beggar mentality if any.

OUR MISSION

Don’t give us fish but teach us how to catch one

Our Beginnings

The Yes Please Volunteering program was launched by Grace Muthoni after spending time with her fellow Africans volunteering. While she was volunteering she saw the tremendous potential the Africans had in natural resources, good climate and zeal to work hard. The only drawback was knowledge of which the hunger was there for any form of information. While she was there she saw the tremendous difference volunteers could make in helping local organisations achieve their goals. Her goal was to teach her fellow Africans how to catch a fish instead of giving them the fish.

Our Partners

At Yes Please we align with the idea of 'local solutions to local problems', so we work with local community organisations in each country. We believe that local communities are in the best position to determine their needs, and we provide volunteers to help them achieve their goals
