Yolo Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA)

Organization Description:

Yolo County CASA recruits, trains and supervises volunteers who are matched with individual children by order of the Yolo County Superior Court in a collaborative effort with the social workers of Child Protective Services and the various agencies of the court to develop a complete picture from various perspectives of what is going on and best for the child. These children have been abused, neglected, or abandoned and CASA volunteers fill a crucial need simply by being a friend, a role model, and a voice.

Yolo CASA also recruits and trains volunteers to mentor one on one with school children with the goal of improving a child's ability to succeed in school and in life.
