WHAT WE BELIEVE:
1. BIBLE
That the Bible is God s word written under divine inspiration, entirely free of error.
It tells us of God s character, His will, and ways. It is our supreme and final authority
in all matters regarding faith. It should not be confused with man s conduct or his
traditions or opinions.( Ps 119:89, 2 Tim; 3:16, 2 Pet 1:19-21)
2. GOD
We believe that God is one God, who exists eternally in three persons, Father, Son and
Holy, each holy and loving. He created everything that exists, upholds it by his power
and rules over it. He knows everything and his power is Unlimited (omnipotence), He
is present everywhere (omnipresence). (Eph 4:4-6; Col 1:16-17; Psalm 139:1-10).
3. JESUS CHRIST
a) That Christ was the incarnate second person of the God head, conceived of the power of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, fully human and fully divine in one person. He died, rose from the dead, ascended to heaven, from where He will return bodily and in glory to receive those who believe in Him. (John 1:1-2, Acts 2:33-36, Gal 4:4)
b)
We believe that the death of Jesus Christ justifies us; He was judged for our sins.
His death is the only means of salvation provided solely by God s grace and its
benefits are received by faith alone. Those who receive Him are reconciled with
the Father and will never be separated from His love in Christ Jesus. ( Rom 1:17,
Jn 3:16,17 Rom 10:9-14 )
4. MAN
We believe that all human life has worth and dignity because all people are made in
God s image to know and serve Him. But man s image is now marred by sin in
our fallen condition, we are in rebellion against God, man is separated from Him
and is under judgment. (Gen 2:26,27 Rom 3:23)
5. CHURCH
a) We believe the Church to be a living spiritual body of Jesus. Jesus Christ being the
head of the church in whom all believers are baptized by immersion. (Eph 5:22-30,
Matt 28:19, Acts 8:36-39)
b) We believe that all Christians should be faithful citizens and obedient to State/ Government in upholding and maintaining the laws of the State. However, man is responsible to God alone in matters of faith. (Rom. 13: 7). The church is independent and autonomous it must be free from interference from ecclesiastical or political authority. However, it must co-operate with, uphold and implement the civil laws and policies of the state, (if they are for the good of the whole man (Matt 2:19-23, Acts 6:1-7).
We believe that the Kingdom of God which was inaugurated at Christ s first coming will be consummated at His second coming when the dead will be raised. At the final judgment, believers and unbelievers will be separated forever, evil will be eradicated, Satan will be punished, and unbelievers will enter into eternal, conscious separation
