Youth United With Senior Citizens
Our organization focuses on bridging the gap between the youth in our community and the senior citizens in our community. We offer an after school program, which implements a tutorial program, fine arts and computer. We also have a program called operation C.L.E.A.N.L.I.N.E.S.S., which organizes cleaning projects throughout the North Memphis community. We take the youth in the community into the homes of the senior citizens to clean their homes inside and out at no cost to the senior citizens. The senior citizens do have to impart wisdom into the youth that have cleaned their home. We have communtiy awareness events once a month, such as health fairs, neighborhood watch meetings, job fairs, etc.
The mission statement of Youth United with Senior Citizens is uniting the present with the past to secure a solid foundation for our future. While keeping our communities as a part of the process and making available every opportunity for our youth, as weel as focusing on a healthy environment for our Senior Citizens.
