YWAM Targu Mures RO

Organization Description:

The Targu Mures YWAM Base will focus on three separate spheres: local churches, Training Schools and the community. By focusing on these areas we expect to have the greatest impact on the city as we seek to facilitate the city's growth for a better future.

Local Churches/Ministries - supported through YWAM activities, education and outreaches, not to bring them together but to bless each one of them in recognizing what they are called to do and assist them in fulfilling that calling.

There are many churches in the city which are growing and there is a real need to educate the leaders of the churches. YWAM has many programs which will benefit and train the church.

YWAM training schools - Discipleship Training Schools, School of Worship, seminars, conferences, providing resources and practical help to the community and churches.

YWAM schools educate and empower students to work within YWAM, Minister in their churches and/or branch out into new ministries.

Community - YWAM is involved in local community, mercy ministries, providing resources and developing projects.

In Targu Mures the common story from students is that they have an education but no place to construct a future for themselves. Many of the young people leave the country in search of work and a future. We want to help change their

mind-set for them to recognize the possibilities in their own city and region so that they will be inspired to improve their community.

Organizational Statement of Faith:

YWAM Statement of Purpose

Youth with a Mission is an international movement of Christians from many denominations dedicated to presenting Jesus Christ personally to this generation, to mobilize as many as possible to help in this task, and to the training and equipping of believers for their part in fulfilling the Great Commission. As Christians of God's Kingdom, we are called to love, worship, and obey our Lord, to love and the Church, and to present the whole Gospel for the whole man throughout the whole world.

We believe that the Bible is God's inspired and authoritative word, revealing that Jesus Christ is God's Son, that man is created in God's image, that He created us to have eternal life through Jesus Christ, that although all men have sinned and come short of God's glory, God has made salvation possible through the death on the cross and resurrection of Jesus Christ, that repentance, faith, love, and obedience are fitting responses to God?s initiative of grace toward us, that God desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth, and that the Holy Spirit's power is demonstrated in and through us for the accomplishing of Christ's last commandment,

"Go ye into the entire world and preach the Gospel to every creature" (Mark 16:15)
