Relating to Teenage Boys (Kevin Burtram 07-08)

Project Focus:

While serving at Greater Boston Vineyard Fellowship Church, Kevin Burtram saw the need for a program to reach young boys growing up in urban America.  He developed and implemented a 10-week-long youth group for adolescent boys that focused on their transition into manhood, providing community service opportunities, older male mentorship, and an overnight camping trip.  Youth Group activities were organized to help students focus on seven attributes of being a man.

This document detailing the structure and goals of his program also includes Kevin's observations on the challenges that face male youth today, describes three basic needs that every boy has, and offers his solutions to address these issues.
