Project Description:

During her time serving at Kidworks, Domonique Ousborn felt called to meet the needs of her youth who wished to learn certain skills but could not due to money or scheduling issues.  For her replicable project, she set up skill-building workshops by researching for volunteers, polling her youth to see which classes they would like to attend, promoting the classes, and tracking the progress of her students.  Sample skill-building workshops include an introduction to sewing using a machine, sparring and boxing, and art workshops.  This PowerPoint presentation advises readers how to set up similar workshops for their own youth.
