OverFlow Deliverance Mininstries
Overflow Ministries is a pentecostal/ holiness ministry in Memphis Tennessee. The church was originally founded in September 2006 under the name of New Destiny Christian Center by Elder George Baker III. The ministry was almost immediately attacked by the enemy, because the vision of the house was never to just have church as usual. The real purpose of the ministry was and always will be to raise up a people who are equipped and empowered to serve God in excellence. After a brief hiatus in which he worked in the evangelistic ministry, Pastor Baker returned to pastoral ministry after being told to launch out into the deep and prepare for a harvest. God has blessed the ministry and there will soon be a satellite service introduced in West Memphis, Arkansas. This is the Lord's doing and it is marvelous in our eyes.
Proclaiming The Kingdom - The kingdom message is one of hope and liberty to people. The kingdom is God's way of doing things on earth. There is a divine order that God desires to impose upon his people. The kingdom message will touch every area of life and will empower the believer to walk in faith and power. When we pray "thy kingdom come, thy will be done", we are expressing and proclaiming the kingdom.
Equipping The Saints - The traditional church has produced a generation of co-dependents. The true mission of the church is to give the saints the tools they need to live a victorious life. The word tells us that people are destroyed for a lack of knowledge. When people are unskilled and unqualified, they will suffer lack and loss. We seek to equip and then empower so that the saints will be edified and prepared to walk in destiny.
Speaking The Purpose Of God - The modern church has lost is prophetic and apostolic mandate to be watchmen and speak on behalf of God. God desires to speak to his people and to speak through his people. We are commanded to speak as the oracles of God and to exhort the saint and admonish the sinner. We are to operate in purity and out of love so that people are drawn to the cross and accept the sacrifice of Christ We must be able to give a reason for the hope that resides within us.
We believe the Bible to be the inspired and only infallible written Word of God.
We believe that there is One God, eternally existent in three Persons; God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
We believe in the Blessed Hope, which is the rapture of the Church of God, which is in Christ at His return.
We believe that the only means of being cleansed from sin, is through repentance, faith in the precious Blood of Jesus Christ and being baptized in water.
We believe that regeneration by the Holy Ghost is absolutely essential for personal salvation.
We believe that the redemptive work of Christ on the Cross provides healing for the human body in answer to believing in prayer.
We believe that the baptism in the Holy Ghost, according to Acts 2:4, is given to believers who asks for it.
We believe in the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling, the Christian is enabled to live a Holy and separated life in this present world, Amen.
