The Valley Rescue Mission
The Valley Rescue Mission is a non-profit organization that provides life-essential services to the homeless men, women, and children of the San Fernando Valley (north-western section of Los Angeles).
As you know, the causes for our growing homeless population are complex and no one particular person or organization can provide adequate answers to these difficult questions. However, in working together as a community, we can make a difference in the lives of those who are in need.
There are approximately 8,000 homeless people in the San Fernando Valley and as many as 72,000 in Los Angeles County, which is the homeless capital of the United States.
The Valley Rescue Mission provides hot meals and supportive services to the homeless in the San Fernando Valley, which has the highest percentage of homeless families in Los Angeles County.
Our vision is to tangibly demonstrate God’s love to the poor and homeless of the San Fernando Valley by offering Hope, Hot Meals, Housing, and Health Services.
We provide:
Hope– A message of love, support and freedom for a better tomorrow.
Hot Meals– Food distribution to the hungry.
Housing– Emergency/transitional shelter to the situational and chronically homeless.
Health Services– Resources for basic human needs.
Biblical Principles, Servant Leadership, Compassion, Partnership, Integrity, Accountability.
